The Challenge
Genquip Groundhog, the UK’s leading manufacturer of mobile and static welfare units, was experiencing costly generator failures, blocked filters and injector wear.
Operating on construction sites, the units were exposed to contaminated diesel, leading to breakdowns and expensive engineer call-outs, sometimes £300 to £400 per visit.
The Solution
After FuelActive approached Genquip, testing revealed contamination was the root cause of many failures. FuelActive’s floating pick-up system was introduced first as an optional extra for major hire customers.
The results were immediate, and within five years FuelActive became a standard fit across all Groundhog mobile welfare units.
Today, each 6 kVA generator with its 58-litre tank runs cleaner and more efficiently. Hybrid models combine FuelActive with solar and battery technology, ensuring generators start reliably and perform at peak efficiency whenever needed.
